Narwal

With a single, straight tusk projecting from their jaw, no other species of whale

looks quite like the narwhal.These 3m (9.8ft) long tusks are so strange that, in
the past, unscrupulous traders sold them as horns from the legendary unicorn.

Sexes
Male narwhals are larger than
the females. Usually only males
grow a tusk, although on very
rare occasions females do too.
