         Cut through the overlapped ends of the coil at an
        angle, as shown.                                       Check the foot to
                                                               ensure it’s in the
                                                               correct position then
                                                               gently score around
                                                               the inner and outer
                                                               edge to mark the
                                                               place.

         Carefully lift just the cut ends and score them with a
        serrated kidney.

         Apply a dab of slip to
        one of the ends only
        then join the two
        together and smooth
        over the surface with
        your fingers.                                          Very carefully remove the foot, trying not to allow it to

                                                             stretch as you move it.

                                                               Score the edge of the foot that will fix onto the dish.
