between the hybrid laminate of [G/B]3G, [G/J]3G and [G/F]3G in Figures 4.7(b), 4.7(d)

                   and 4.7(f) with G2/B3/G2, G2/J3/G2 and G2/F3/G2 in Figures 4.7(a), 4.7(c) and 4.7(e),
respectively. This can be due to the poor interfacial bonding between natural fibres of

basalt, jute and flax compared to the better surface adhesion of E-glass fibre with
epoxy resin. In addition, all the hybrid configurations tested with two layers of E-glass

at the extremes did not break into two halves. Consequently, the presence of two layers
of E-glass fibres leads to a stronger bridging rupture and decrease the stress

distribution to natural fibres of basalt, jute and flax. This phenomenon is similar to

what reported by Zhang et al. [153] on the glass/carbon woven fabrics for light weight

                   bearing structures.
