Through the years of attending our IC Conventions, I have met many of you
wonderful people, but there are some that I do not know very well. As a way of
introducing myself, I will tell you a little about me. I have been widowed for fourteen
years now and have a son and daughter. Between the two of them, I have six grandchildren and one
great-granddaughter. My daughter, Stormy Bowie, is also an ESA member and she just finished her term
as Georgia’s President. My family means everything to me, they always come first in my world and I am
        very proud of them.

After thirty-four years as a Law Enforcement Officer, I was fortunate enough to be able to retire four years
ago. My work in this profession allowed me to serve and help many people. My soul is nourished when I
am helping others in any way that I can! For the majority of my life, I have lived in the state of Georgia,
although, there were a few years spent living in Alabama and Florida. I am very much a southern girl and
I do say “Hey” and “Y’all,” but most of all I am proud to say that I am an ESA member and am delighted
to be on the IC Executive Board this year as your Parliamentarian. The Executive Board will support
President Sandy and we will work together to “Inspire” you in many ways. I could not ask for a better
group of people to work with and to work for this coming year. Thank you so much! Be safe!

Now on to some fun tidbits…

There are “Four Basic Principals of Parliamentary Law…”

            1. Courtesy and justice for all
            2. Consider one thing at a time
            3. The minority must be heard but…
            4. …the majority prevails.

                                                   With ESA Love and Hugs

Greetings from your Education Director 2017-2018

Thanks to Sandy Alexander for this appointment. Today, I reached out to last year’s director and
she is planning to mail me a copy of the Education book so I can see how many of you are
participating in the Education Awards at the International Council level. Regardless, I am all
about competition so plan to hear more from me in the upcoming news bulletins as I challenge
        you all to participate.
