….Foundation continued

Tuesday night we had another stellar Fund Fest evening bringing in over $18,000. It was a huge success
with over 50 volunteers and many who came to enjoy the evening, playing games and bidding on the
live and silent auctions. Linda Schmidt from Kansas will be taking over the reins for Fund Fest and we look
forward to having another great event in Phoenix.

The Board of Directors toured a local Salvation Army facility in St. Louis and made a $1,000 donation in
honor of IC President Sherry Day. Captain Adam Moore, along with other staff showed us first-hand how
their St. Louis facility is assisting veterans, those aging out of foster care and people with disabilities with
affordable housing while preserving and bringing back to life an historical building.

The Planned Giving Breakfast was held to recognize all planned givers and life active members as well as
to recognize the new planned givers. ALSAC’s Kelly Climer discussed the importance of a planned giving
program to the 75 attendees. Sally Yates, (MO), life active member and recent planned giver gave her
        story honoring her late husband.

At our Annual Meeting, we were able to hear from a 2017-2018 scholarship recipient, Colleen Doyle,
2015 special grant recipients, Sister Esther Hogan and Sister Ruth Kertz with the St Charles Outreach
Coalition Against Human Trafficking organization and Captain Moore, of the Salvation Army.

We had 19 new Life Active Memberships this past year as well as 5 new planned givers, 5 new
endowments and 1 special fund endowment.

Two directors were recognized as they completed their three year term: Rosalee Echele (MO) and
Barbara Price (TX). Two directors were elected during the week – Beth Sherron (VA) and Su McDonell
(OR) who will serve for three years.

Joy Foster of Norman, Oklahoma was recognized with the Humanitarian Award and Jef Peckham was
presented with an ESA Foundation Stewardship Award. The award was originally given to Jef’s father,
Jay, and it was an honor to be able to recognize the support and efforts for him, Mom and ESA.

These type of awards and recognitions are examples of what the ESA Foundation is about and we love
being able to recognize our contributors, our supporters and our awardees.

The Annual Audit Report and the State of the Foundation report will be available on the ESA Foundation
web page for your review. http://www.epsilonsigmaalpha.org/about/ESA-Foundation.

The ESA Foundation Directors are looking forward to where we go next and hope you plan to tag along
        with us.
