Helm Harnesses - Multi-Helm
        Helm Harnesses

IMPORTANT: Refer to the appropriate system architecture drawing in Section 8A.
           • Ensure that all helm components are laid out with respect to the helm harness breakouts.
           • Ensure that the connections can reach all of the components under the helm and along the gunwale.
           • Some branches of the harness are extremely short and require components to be mounted in close proximity to each
               other.
        Multi‑Helm Harnesses

For boats with multiple helms, extension harnesses are required to connect the upper and lower helms. The exact harnesses
required depends on the number of engines.
Extension harness connectors are not color coded. Be certain to not cross‑connect extension harnesses.
        Outer Engine Extension Harness
The outer engine extension harness has two connectors at either end of the harness. A 6‑pin connector allows transmission of
CAN X, 5‑amp clean power, wake, and E‑stop signals between the helms. A 4‑pin connector is used for CAN P and CAN H on
the starboard engine and for CAN P and global wake on the port engine.

                                                                                                       70759
The outer engine extension harness is used for all multiple helm applications. As indicated by the name, triple and quad‑engine
applications use it only on the outer engines.
        Inner Engine Extension Harness

The inner engine extension harness has one 6‑pin connector at either end of the harness. It does not transmit CAN P, CAN H,
or global wake signals. As the name implies, the inner engine extension harness is used only on the inner engines on triple and
           quad‑engine applications.

                                                                                                 70760
        Gauge Power Harness

The gauge power harness is used on all multiple helm applications. This gray, 2‑wire harness is used to supply power for
           gauges at the upper helm.

                                                                                         70761
        Global Wake Harness

The global wake harness is used only on single‑engine applications, where there is only one outer engine extension harness.
The harness transmits the global wake signal typically handled by the port extension harness on a multiple engine application.

                                                                                              70762
