“Tut..tut..tut…turns out someone was eavesdropping on us and wasn’t able to save her
friends,” mocked Credell.

A raging flame began to ignite in the girl’s heart. She stood up and faced the wicked man
with a strong lust to kill. A white flame emitted from Xalbadora’s body as she rose up
from the ground. Phantasmal apparitions of animals orbited her. Her eyes glowed with
radiance, and she clutched her hands. Sparks of spectral silver encircled her knuckles. It
seemed like nature herself chose Xalbadora.

Credell’s eyes widened with fear. He kneeled down. “Please, forgive me. I was just
following orders. See this black mark on my neck? It means that I can not disobey the

orders of the Lord.” The mark of a skeleton was engraved at the side of his neck.

“Who and where is your mastermind?” her voice echoed across the room.

“He’s at…” his words were cut off as he spat out blood. His entire body went pale as the

blood vessels in his eyes were slowly losing colour. The man fell to the ground, and all
that's left of him was a lifeless corpse. No one knew what happened to him… but it could
be assumed that the leader of the Crypt Brigade did not wish to be found.

The sky, that was once dark, turned bright and Credell’s subordinates, who were
previously mind-controlled, regained their consciousness. The King was also released
from his prison. The crowd cheered as King Arthur appointed Xalbadora as a saviour and
new grand mage of the kingdom. Xalbadora along with her friends, received honors, and

their act of bravery will be forever held high.

Everything was well, except for the fact that the mastermind was still out there.

Still out there, lurking in the dark - planning its next moves.
