Abstract
Education nowadays is much influenced by the new industrial technology. It requires
transformed the teaching and learning process utilizing technology advances. One of
the practically methods in learning process is the utilization of teaching media such E-
module as learning materials. Commonly, the lack of interactive learning media and
the conventional teaching method by showing 2D drawings in understanding building
construction system were found challenging and complicated. This causes students
less interested to understand the construction system which influences on poor
learning outcomes. This study aims to integrate the usage of cyber-physical system
(CPS) technology with modern IT features such Augmented Reality (AR) to develop
the E-module of building construction and materials learning in architecture Problem-
Based Learning to improve students' learning outcomes. The concept presentation and
visualization used in E-module is oriented to construction illustrated which support
students’ understanding in construction system. The method that employed in this
study is literature review of relevant research journals. The use of E-module in
building construction and materials learning provides in-depth understanding of
learning concepts related to the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning
domains that support students’ critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. This
study results showed that E-module based in teaching and learning approach could
improve the students’ learning outcomes. Moreover, the used of E-module develop
personal skills of independent learning and intellectual that directly increase students’
grade achievements.
