In this study, low-density concrete samples were produced by mixing granulated styrofoam in wastes with the
various ratio of cement, sand and magnesium stearate solution. Recycling EPS (Expanded polystyrene) from the
packing wastes helps both to derive an economical profit and to prevent environmental pollution. The grain diameters
of used EPS and the ratio of EPS were determined as 6-0mm and 20,30,40,%10 and %50, respectively. Compositions
were poured into the two molds with different measures, one of them is for thermal tests (20x60x150 mm), the other
one is for the mechanical tests (100x100x100) Compressive stress, tensile stress water absorption and drying rate tests
were carried out on the samples.
