Reflexive Pronouns
               These are used with reflexive verbs like lavar-se ‘to wash (one-
               self )’, i.e. where the subject and the object of the verb are one
               and the same person:
                 me    [mi]   myself
                 te    [ti]   yourself (fam)
                 se    [si]   himself, herself, itself, yourself (pol),
                                themselves, yourselves, oneself  HOW THE LANGUAGE WORKS
                 nos   [noosh]  ourselves
                 apresentar-se to introduce oneself
                 apresento-me: chamo-me Richard
                 aprisayntoomi: shamoomi Richard
                 may I introduce myself? my name’s Richard

               Demonstratives                                Personal
               The English demonstrative adjective ‘this’ is translated by este.
               ‘That’ is translated either by  esse  or aquele.  Esse refers  to
               something nearby. Aquele refers to something further away.  Pr onouns
               Like other adjectives, demonstrative adjectives agree with the
               noun they qualify in gender and number but they are posi-  /
               tioned in front of the noun. Their forms are:
                 masculine singular   feminine singular
                 este  esse  aquele   esta   essa  aquela
                 aysht  ays  akayl    ehshta  ehsa  akehla   Demonstratives
