                   3.5.3  Quasi-Static Indentation Test




                           The  quasi-static  indentation  test  was  employed  according  to  ASTM
                   D6264/6264M-12 (Standard test method for measuring the damage resistance of a

                   fiber-reinforced polymer-matrix composite to a concentrated quasi-static indentation
                   force)  [127].  This  kind  of  mechanical  test  has  been  shown  to  activate  damage

                   mechanisms, similar to impact and penetration without strain rate effects as shown in
                   Table 3.3. In this light, the low rate allows detailed analysis on the load response to be

                   conducted as documented by previous literatures [46, 93, 128–131].
