1. Teacher will ask pupils to read the side notes on the use of ‘if conditional’.
2. Teacher gets pupils to sit in groups of mixed abilities.
3. Teacher gets each group to write three sentences using the if conditional.
4. Teacher gets the leader from each group to present their sentences.
5. The other groups give feedback on the accuracy of the sentences.
6. The teacher acts as a facilitator to assist pupils to arrive at the correct structure.
7. Pupils complete the exercise given.
8. Teacher checks the answers to the questions.

1. Teacher asks pupils to listen to the words in Track 21 and repeat with the correct pronunciation and intonation.
2. Teacher reads out a word and pupils write on small white boards and flash when the teacher says ‘show’.
3. Get pupils to check out the meanings of words. Assign each pupil to check the meanings of one word. Then the pupil who checks out the
words explains the meaning and make a sentence with the word.
4. Teacher gets pupils to listen to Track 22 and complete the graphic organiser.
5. Teacher uses the Think-Pair-Share technique. Pupils listen and complete exercise.
6. Pupils compare their answers. Teacher calls pairs of pupils at random to share their answers.
7. Teacher gets pupils to listen to Track 23 to complete the flow chart.
8. In groups, pupils discuss if the man did the right thing.
9. Teacher calls pupils of each group to present their idea.
