Ionizing radiation α and β are categorised as a low
energy radiation. The penetration power into material
is weak. The detector used for detecting these radia-
tion should allow the radiation passed through at the
same time kept the pressurized condition. Detector
used for sensing the α and β radiation is using ioniza-
tion chamber. Therefore, the chamber has a window
which is made by the material with appropriate thick-
ness where the α and β and can penetrate easily to get
inside and interacts with the gases to generate positive
