Full-Pay Unrecorded Leave
          Subject to exigencies of service and other requirements set by MOE, an officer may be granted
          full-pay unrecorded for any of the following purposes:

          (a)  To attend approved trade union and co-operative courses, conferences and seminars;
          (b)  To attend International/Regional cultural activities endorsed and supported by national
                bodies;
          (c)  To attend exercise conducted by Recognised Organisation list in IM2H;
          (d)  To participate in the Singapore Volunteers Overseas Programme and Overseas Youth
                Programme or to volunteer at any local charity with an Institution of Public Character (IPC)
                status;
          (e)  To attend to Statutory Boards or Company Business for officers who is a member of the
                Statutory Board of nominee director of a Government-linked company;
          (f)  To read Papers at International Regional / Local Conferences;
          (g)  To represent Singapore regional or international competitive games as athletes or National
                coaches with endorsement from Sport Singapore or Singapore National Olympics Council.

                               Urgent Private Affairs Leave
          An officer is eligible for full-pay leave of up to 10 working days in a calendar year to attend to
          Urgent Private Affairs (UPA), or up to 12 days if examination leave is included. UPA is subject to
          approval by school leaders, with approval granted taking into consideration both employees
          and schools' needs. These are guidelines and Principals can exercise discretion and have the
          flexibility to vary from the guidelines, taking into consideration that teacher's absence during
          term time has implications on studentsʼ learning.
