Insertion of Central Venous Catheter
The central venous catheter is commonly inserted through the subclavian vein or
the internal jugular vein. Figures 10-3 and 10-4 show the radiographic catheter
positions inserted via the left subclavian vein and left internal jugular vein. Con-
tinuous monitoring of the central venous pressure should have a typical pressure
