                                                               on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in icy
                                                               terrain.

        The frost salamander (CR 9) can have a maximum         Keen Smell
        of 4 talents.
                                                               Type: Trait.
                                                               Keen Smell. The salamander has advantage on
                                                               Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.



                                                               Legendary Actions

                                                               Type: Action.
                                                               Talent Cost: 4 (Counts as 4 Talents).

                                                               The salamander gains 3 legendary actions,
                                                               choosing from the options below. Only one
                                                               legendary action option can be used at a time and
                                                               only at the end of another creature's turn. The
                                                               salamander regains spent legendary actions at the
                                                               start of its turn.
                                                               Move. The salamander moves up to half its speed.
                                                               Claw (Costs 2 Actions). The salamander makes a
                                                                 claw attack.
                                                               Tail (Costs 2 Actions). The salamander makes a
                                                                 tail attack (see Tail Slap).

                                                               A Large or smaller creature that is hit by the
                                                               salamander's bite attack is grappled (escape DC
                                                               15).  Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained
                                                               and the salamander can automatically hit the target
                                                               with its bite but can't make bite attacks against
                                                               other targets.
