Another option to integrate meters that are not directly communicating KNX, into the KNX
system, is by using binary inputs. These binary inputs are then parameterized as pulse
input or counter input and are then connected to a conventional pulse counter. It is
however important that the generated pulse of the meter corresponds to the
parameterized unit of the KNX device, in order to avoid deviating measurement results.
