Fluid Fittings Limited stocks honed bore tube that is generally used for the
manufacture of cylinders for hydraulic and pneumatic rams.
The tube is stocked as random lengths of typically 5.5 metres to 6.5 metres.
Occasionally we receive stock up to 8 metres long so please do not hesitate to
contact our sales staff if you need longer lengths.
Fluid Fittings Limited offers a same day cut and despatch service.
The honed bore tube part numbering system is described below:
HBT+++.++x+++.++
Honed bore tube Internal diameter (mm) External Diameter (mm)
For example a 100mm inside diameter tube with a 10mm wall thickness would have
the part number HBT100.00X120.00
The typical mechanical properties for the steel are as follows:
• 520 MPa yield stress.
• 600 MPa tensile stress.
Note: some larger sizes are hot finished and are of lower strength.
Where strength is critical then a material test certificate can be supplied on request.
