1) เมื่อชนะยอมกอเวร
2) เมื่อแพก็เสียดายทรัพยที่เสียไป

3) ทรัพยหมดไปๆ เห็นชัดๆ

4) เขาที่ประชุม เขาไมเชื่อถือถอยคํ า

5) เปนที่หมิ่นประมาทของเพื่อนฝูง
6) ไมเปนที่พึงประสงคของผูที่จะหาคูครองใหลูกของเขา เพราะเห็นวาจะเลี้ยงลูกเมียไมไหว

a) As winner, he begets hatred.

b) As loser, he regrets his lost money.

c) There is actual loss of wealth.
d) His word has no weight in an assembly.

e) He is scorned by his friends and companions.

f) He is not sought after by those who want to marry their daughters, for they
would say that a gambler cannot afford to keep a wife.

5. คบคนชั่ว (association with bad companions) มีโทษ โดยนํ าใหกลายไปเปนคนชั่ว

อยางคนที่ตนคบทั้ง 6 ประเภท คือ ไดเพื่อนที่จะนํ าใหกลายเปน
1) นักการพนัน (gamblers)

2) นักเลงหญิง (rakes; seducers)

3) นักเลงเหลา (drunkards)

4) นักลวงของปลอม (cheaters with false things)
5) นักหลอกลวง (swindlers)

6) นักเลงหัวไม (men of violence)

6. เกียจครานการงาน (habit of idleness) มีโทษ โดยทํ าใหยกเหตุตางๆ เปนขออางผัด
เพี้ยนไมทํ าการงาน โภคะใหมก็ไมเกิด โภคะที่มีอยูก็หมดสิ้นไป คือใหอางไปทั้ง 6 กรณีวา

1)–6) หนาวนัก — รอนนัก — เย็นไปแลว — ยังเชานัก — หิวนัก — อิ่มนัก
a)–f) He always makes an excuse that it is too cold, — too hot, — too late, —
too early, he is too hungry, — too full and does no work.
