3) To develop learning styles in the context of an aged society and the development
of “time banks” among youth in pilot areas and personnel in educational institutions;
4) To support various forms of public communication to create awareness,
understanding, and situational awareness of the aged society, and to learn how to operate a “Time
Bank” to support an aging society; and
5) To distill lessons from implementation of the time bank format for all age groups.
2. Project implementation comprised the following core activities:
1) Develop and implement a Time Bank to accommodate the emerging aged society in Pasi
Charoen District
2) Mobilize networks to collaborate with the Project Task Force in the pilot area and the
network in order to be a co-host, and ready to continuously support implementation going forward;
3) Integrate learning among youth and adults in the target area by joining forces with
educational institutions to mobilize the new generation to join in implementation with local
residents toward sustainability of the Time Bank's operations, starting from the beginning of the
development process in the area;
4) Communicate with the public to create awareness and motivate them to join the learning
process and help disseminate this knowledge to others in the community;
5) Monitor and empower counterparts to support and enhance readiness of the project
team and Task Forces, both inside and outside the pilot area toward creating a mechanism to
support sustainable Time Bank operations indefinitely.
3. Result of Project Implementation
The Project advocated for the five core Project activities through on site with small group meetings
in the pilot area, while complying with Covid prevention measures. The Project convened a total
of 173 in-person and online meetings/visits in nine pilot locations (exceeding the target of seven),
comprising eight communities and one worksite. A total of 602 people participated in 2,227 person-
participation events, classified by age. Of the participants, 66% were in the age range of 21-59 years,
followed by 31% age 60 years or over. Only 3% of the participants were age 6-20 years.
